As a wife of a surfer, it’s pretty much impossible to survive without embracing the beach. But luckily enough I absolutely love the beach. And as much as I love going to the beach with my family, I am crazy about doing Maternity Sessions at the beach. There’s just something about that creamy soft look of beach photos that has me hooked. Choosing the right location for your maternity photoshoot is key. So I thought I would share 5 reasons why you should do your pregnancy photos at the beach, (in my opinion).
– The minimalistic look of beach photos is something I’m really drawn to. The combination of the sand, the ocean, the sky, and you (and commonly your partner and sometimes older siblings) is just so beautiful. There’s not much to distract the eye here. And who can say no to the creamy soft look of sunsets here? Not me!
– We are in California, and what is more symbolistic for Los Angeles, and California than the beach? Why not incorporate some of what’s typical of the place where your baby will be born, to the photos of this time when she’s busy growing in your belly.
– You don’t have to even think about what shoes you’re going to wear! Because at the beach, we’re barefoot. That’s a rule, right? And we both know that it hurts to even think about squeezing your feet into some stylish shoes at this point. So what is better than skipping that part and let your toes free?
– Who doesn’t love to watch the sunset at the beach? We all do it, from time to time (or at least we dream about it). Booking your session here will let you combine watching the sunset with getting gorgeous pictures! Bring a blanket for you and your partner to cuddle on while watching the sunset, and you will forget that you have a photographer around capturing it all.
– Is there any other location where it’s as natural to show off that bare belly than the beach? If you are dreaming about an outfit that shows off your bump but feel a bit insecure about wearing it in public, then the beach is your answer! Everyone is in swimsuits anyways, so a bare belly more or less won’t do any difference.
